The Simpson SUR2.56/11 SUR Galvanized Joist Hanger for 2-1/2 to 2-9/16 in. x 11-1/4 to 11-7/8 in. Engineered Wood, Skewed Right by Simpson Strong-Tie is a 45 deg.-skewed U-shaped hanger engineered to support solid sawn and engineered wood products in wood construction. Designed to encapsulate the top flange of the joist, this hanger eliminates the need for web stiffeners in standard installation, delivering a strong, reliable connection with efficient fastening performance.

- What is the difference between the SUR and SUL hangers?
- The SUR and SUL hangers are identical in design except that the SUR is skewed 45 deg. to the right and the SUL is skewed 45 deg. to the left. The SUR2.56/11 is the right-skewed version.
- Can the SUR2.56/11 be field-modified to adjust the skew angle?
- No. These hangers cannot be modified. However, the SUR2.56/11 will accommodate a joist skewed anywhere from 40 deg. to 50 deg., providing a degree of flexibility within that range.
- What fasteners are required to install the SUR2.56/11?
