Product Description

CI-LV FS Fast-Setting Low-Viscosity Structural Injection Epoxy from Simpson is a two-component, high-modulus, high-solids, moisture-tolerant epoxy specially designed for pressure injection of concrete cracks and for increasing the bond between freshly placed repair mortars or concrete mixes and existing concrete when substrate temperatures are between 40 deg. Fahrenheit (4 deg. Celsius) and 90 deg. Fahrenheit (32 deg. Celsius). Its low viscosity and low surface tension allow it to deeply penetrate narrow cracks under pressure, delivering a chemically bonded structural repair that seals out moisture and protects embedded rebar from corrosion. The 3-gal. kit includes two 1 US gallon (3.8 L) cans of Component A and one 1 US gallon (3.8 L) can of Component B, and is compatible with metered pressure-injection equipment as well as manual or pneumatic dispensing tools.

Key Features

  • Meets ASTM C881 and AASHTO M235 standards (Type I/II, Grade 1, Class B and Type I/IV and II/V, Grade 1, Class C) - gives engineers, inspectors, and contractors the verified compliance documentation needed for structural and infrastructure repair projects.
  • Chemically bonds with concrete to provide a structural repair and seals cracks from moisture - restores load-carrying integrity to damaged concrete while protecting embedded rebar from corrosion over the long term.
  • Moisture-tolerant formula works on dry and damp surfaces - eliminates costly downtime waiting for surfaces to fully dry, keeping repair schedules on track in real-world job-site conditions.
  • Low surface tension formulated for maximum penetration under pressure - ensures the epoxy reaches deep into narrow cracks for a thorough, complete fill rather than a surface-only seal.
  • Suitable for both pressure injection and gravity-feed applications - gives contractors flexibility to use the same product across vertical structural cracks and horizontal concrete surfaces without switching materials.
  • Non-shrink and resistant to oils, salts, and mild chemicals - maintains a tight, durable bond in demanding environments such as parking structures, bridges, and industrial slabs where chemical exposure is common.
  • Compatible with metered pressure-injection equipment - integrates directly into professional injection workflows, reducing setup complexity and supporting consistent, controlled application.
  • Freeze-thaw resistant - ensures the cured repair holds up through repeated temperature cycling, making it a reliable choice for outdoor and cold-climate structural concrete repair.

Why This Product

  • Engineered for true structural restoration, not just crack filling - the high-modulus, high-solids epoxy chemistry chemically bonds to concrete substrates, meaning repaired sections regain structural integrity rather than simply being cosmetically patched.
  • Fast-setting formula designed for cooler substrate temperatures - optimized for use between 40 deg. Fahrenheit (4 deg. Celsius) and 90 deg. Fahrenheit (32 deg. Celsius), making it a practical choice when ambient or substrate conditions are not ideal for standard epoxy systems.
  • One product, multiple application methods - the same epoxy works for pressure injection of structural cracks, gravity-feed of horizontal cracks, and bonding new repair mortars or concrete mixes to existing concrete, reducing the number of specialty products a crew needs on site.
  • Bulk 3-gal. kit format with pre-measured components - the included two-component packaging (two cans of Component A, one can of Component B) is ready for use with professional metered equipment, supporting larger repair volumes with less interruption and consistent mix ratios throughout the job.

Frequently Asked Questions

What substrate temperature range is required when using CI-LV FS?
CI-LV FS is designed for use when substrate temperatures are between 40 deg.F (4 deg.C) and 90 deg.F (32 deg.C), making it suitable for a wide range of job-site conditions.
Can CI-LV FS be used on wet or damp concrete surfaces?
Yes. CI-LV FS is moisture-tolerant and can be used on both dry and damp surfaces, allowing repairs to proceed even when complete surface drying is not possible.
What crack widths is CI-LV FS formulated to repair?
CI-LV FS is formulated as a low-viscosity epoxy (600 cP) for repair of fine- to medium-width cracks ranging from 1/64" to 1/4" (0.4-6 mm) in width. Its low surface tension allows the material to effectively penetrate narrow cracks under pressure.
What is included in the 3-gallon kit?
The 3-gallon kit includes (2) 1 US gallon (3.8 L) cans of Component "A" (CILV1A) and (1) 1 US gallon (3.8 L) can of Component "B" (CILVFS1B), providing everything needed to mix and apply the two-component epoxy system.
