Product Description
Simpson CI-GV Structural Injection Epoxy Gel is a two-component, high-modulus, high-solids, moisture-tolerant, thixotropic epoxy engineered for pressure injection of concrete cracks. This 3-gallon bulk kit is formulated for vertical and horizontal crack sealing as well as general concrete repair, chemically bonding with the substrate to restore structural integrity while sealing against moisture intrusion and protecting embedded rebar from corrosion. Suitable for use when substrate temperatures are between 40 deg. Fahrenheit (4 deg. Celsius) and 90 deg. Fahrenheit (32 deg. Celsius), it is compatible with metered pressure-injection equipment and also available in side-by-side cartridges for use with a manual or pneumatic dispensing tool.
Key Features
- Meets ASTM C881 and AASHTO M235 requirements across multiple type and class designations - gives engineers, contractors, and inspectors the verified compliance documentation needed for structural and infrastructure projects.
- Chemically bonds with concrete to deliver a structural repair while sealing cracks against moisture - restores load-bearing integrity and shields embedded rebar from corrosion, extending the service life of the repaired structure.
- Gel-viscosity moisture tolerance - allows application directly to dry or damp surfaces without sacrificing adhesion, eliminating the need to wait for complete surface drying before beginning repairs.
- Decreases in viscosity under pressure for increased flowability - ensures the epoxy penetrates deep into narrow or irregular cracks when injected, producing a thorough and complete fill.
- Non-shrink formulation - maintains full contact with crack walls after curing so no voids or gaps are left behind, preserving the structural quality of the repair.
- Compatible with metered pressure-injection equipment - integrates smoothly into professional injection workflows for consistent, controlled delivery on larger or more demanding repair jobs.
- Freeze-thaw resistant - the cured repair holds up through repeated temperature cycling, making it a reliable long-term solution in climates with cold winters or significant seasonal temperature swings.
Why This Product
- True structural repair, not just crack filling - because CI-GV chemically bonds with the concrete and carries multiple ASTM C881 and AASHTO M235 classifications, it meets the performance bar required for genuine structural restoration rather than cosmetic patching.
- Works where other epoxies cannot - the moisture-tolerant, gel-viscosity formula performs on damp substrates and then thins under injection pressure to flow deep into cracks, combining surface accessibility with thorough penetration in one product.
- Bulk-kit format designed for professional-scale work - the 3-gallon kit, which includes two 1-gallon cans of Component A and one 1-gallon can of Component B, provides the volume needed for larger concrete repair projects while remaining compatible with standard metered injection equipment.
- Long-term durability in demanding environments - freeze-thaw resistance and a non-shrink cure mean the repair maintains its integrity through seasonal temperature changes and ongoing structural loads, reducing the likelihood of callbacks or rework.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What temperature range is required for proper application of CI-GV Structural Injection Epoxy Gel?
- CI-GV is suitable for use when substrate temperatures are between 40 deg.F (4 deg.C) and 90 deg.F (32 deg.C), making it appropriate for a wide range of jobsite conditions across varying seasons.
- Can CI-GV be used on wet or damp concrete surfaces?
- Yes. CI-GV features gel-viscosity moisture tolerance, meaning it can be applied to both dry and damp surfaces without compromising adhesion or performance.
- What dispensing equipment is compatible with the CI-GV 3-gallon bulk kit?
- The 3-gallon bulk kit is designed for use with metered pressure-injection equipment. CI-GV is also available in side-by-side cartridges dispensed through a static mixing nozzle using either a manual or pneumatic dispensing tool.
- Does CI-GV provide only a surface seal, or does it deliver a structural repair?
- CI-GV chemically bonds with the concrete to provide a full structural repair. In addition to restoring structural integrity, it seals the crack from moisture, which helps protect rebar within the concrete from corrosion.
