The Simpson Strong-Tie HWSC362-KT Head-of-Wall Slide-Clip Connector is engineered to simplify the panelization of 3-5/8"in. printed studs - including those produced by FrameCAD, Arkitech, Howick, and Pinnacle systems. Designed as a direct replacement for slotted track, the HWSC works with typical printed track at head-of-wall conditions, eliminating the panelization difficulties associated with conventional slotted track. A unique cone-shaped dimple in the clip guides the track dimple into precise alignment and holds it securely in place while screws are driven into each flange. The stud then slides into position, and the clip is fastened with the included #14 shoulder screws driven through the center of the fastener slots. The HWSC has been assembly-tested to deliver optimal strength and performance in light-gauge steel framing applications. Each kit includes 50 connectors and 110 XLSH78B1414 #14 shouldered screws.
