- What is the difference between the SUR and SUL hangers?
- The SUR and SUL hangers are identical in construction except that the SUR is skewed 45 deg. to the right and the SUL is skewed 45 deg. to the left. The SUR2.1/11 is the right-skewed version designed for right-hand skewed joist applications.
- Can the SUR2.1/11 be field-modified to adjust the skew angle?
- No. These hangers cannot be modified in the field. However, the SUR2.1/11 will accommodate a joist skewed anywhere from 40 deg. to 50 deg., providing a degree of flexibility within that range.
- Are web stiffeners required when installing the SUR2.1/11?
