The Simpson Strong-Tie SUR2.1/11 SUR Galvanized Joist Hanger for 2-1/16 in. x 11-7/8 in. Engineered Wood, Skewed Right is a 45 deg.-skewed structural connector engineered by Simpson Strong-Tie to support solid sawn and engineered wood products in wood construction. This U-shaped hanger encapsulates the top flange of the joist, eliminating the need for web stiffeners in standard installations and delivering a strong, reliable connection for skewed framing applications.

- What is the difference between the SUR and SUL hangers?
- The SUR and SUL hangers are identical in construction except that the SUR is skewed 45 deg. to the right and the SUL is skewed 45 deg. to the left. The SUR2.1/11 is the right-skewed version designed for right-hand skewed joist applications.
- Can the SUR2.1/11 be field-modified to adjust the skew angle?
- No. These hangers cannot be modified in the field. However, the SUR2.1/11 will accommodate a joist skewed anywhere from 40 deg. to 50 deg., providing a degree of flexibility within that range.
- Are web stiffeners required when installing the SUR2.1/11?
- No. The U-shaped design of the SUR2.1/11 encapsulates the top flange of the joist, so no web stiffeners are required for standard installation.
- What fasteners are required to install the SUR2.1/11?
- Install with (16) 0.162 x 3-1/2 in. nails in the face and (2) 0.148 x 1-1/2 in. nails in the joist, OR (18) #9 x 1-1/2 in. Strong-Drive SD Connector screws (SD9112).

Freight shipping Policy:
Orders/Items too large or heavy may require special handling/Shipping and may require to be sent by truck. Someone must be present to accept truck deliveries. Standard truck delivery is to a dock facility designed to receive freight. You will be notified within 24 hours of ordering to confirm delivery. Lift gates for deliveries are available for an additional fee.
