The Simpson SUR2.06/11 SUR Galvanized Joist Hanger for 2 in. x 11-7/8 in. Engineered Wood, Skewed Right is a heavy-duty structural connector from Simpson Strong-Tie engineered to support solid sawn and engineered wood products in wood construction. This U-shaped, 45 deg.-skewed hanger encapsulates the top flange of the joist, eliminating the need for web stiffeners in standard installation and delivering a strong, reliable connection for skewed framing applications.

- What does "SUR" mean and how does this hanger differ from the SUL?
- SUR stands for skewed right. The SUR and SUL hangers are identical in design except that the SUR is skewed 45 deg. to the right while the SUL is skewed 45 deg. to the left. Choose the SUR when your joist angles to the right of the header.
- Can this hanger be field-modified to fit a different skew angle?
- No. These hangers cannot be modified. However, they are engineered to accommodate a joist skewed anywhere between 40 deg. and 50 deg., providing a degree of flexibility within that range.
- Why does this hanger feature obround nail holes on the acute side?
- The obround nail holes on the acute side are specifically designed to allow nails to be easily installed parallel to the joist. This simplifies installation in tight angles and contributes to a faster, more precise fastening process.
- What fasteners are required to install the SUR2.06/11?

Lift gates for deliveries are available for an additional fee.
