The Simpson Strong-Tie H1A 18-Gauge Galvanized Hurricane Tie is a U-shaped connector engineered by Simpson Strong-Tie to resist high winds and seismic forces by positively connecting trusses and rafters to the top of wall of the structure. Designed for nominal 2x lumber, the H1A delivers faster installation than using two single-sided ties, while embossments in key areas add stiffness for improved performance. Made from 18-gauge steel with a G90 zinc galvanized coating, this hurricane tie is built for lasting durability in demanding structural applications.
