Product Description

The Baileigh SBR-4020 is a compact 3-in-1 sheet metal combination machine from Baileigh that integrates a slip roll, press brake, and shear into a single bench-mountable unit - delivering professional-grade versatility for shops where floor space is at a premium. Designed for fabricators who need reliable rolling, bending, and shearing capability without dedicating space to three separate machines, the SBR-4020 offers a 40" working width and handles up to 20 gauge mild steel and 16 gauge aluminum across all three functions.

Key Features

  • 40" working width accommodates rolling, bending, and shearing operations on a single machine
  • Maximum capacity of 20 gauge mild steel and 16 gauge aluminum for all three functions
  • Manual slip roll on the top portion of the machine creates sheet metal rolls with a 1.70" minimum diameter
  • Hardened rolls with 3 grooves can form wire or small round stock
  • Manual press brake bends up to 90 deg. and includes a V die set
  • Crowning feature lets you set the camber of the tooling so it bends consistently across the machine's full width
  • Hardened adjustable dies (from 1" to 10") on the upper beam of the press brake can make boxes and pans
  • Metal shear on the bottom uses spring-loaded clamps to hold the material down and produce clean, crisp shearing across the machine
  • Shear blades are hardened and reversible, so they stay sharp longer
  • Large handles with grips on both sides allow 2 operators to combine their force and make the machine easier to use
  • Each 360 deg. turn of the handles gives you a full cycle on each function
  • Small footprint design suitable for bench or stand mounting, ideal for shops with limited space

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the maximum material thickness this machine can handle?
The SBR-4020 has a maximum capacity of 20 gauge mild steel and 16 gauge aluminum across all three functions - rolling, bending, and shearing.
Can this machine be mounted to an existing workbench?
Yes. The SBR-4020 is designed with a small floor plan specifically for shops with limited space and can be mounted to a bench or a stand, giving you flexibility in how you set up your workspace.
What is the smallest diameter cylinder I can roll with the slip roll function?
The manual slip roll on the top portion of the machine can create sheet metal rolls with a minimum diameter of 1.70".
Do the shear blades need to be replaced when they become dull?
Not necessarily right away - the shear blades are both hardened and reversible, meaning you can flip them to expose a fresh cutting edge and extend their usable life before replacement is needed.

FREIGHT SHIPMENTS

It is important to assess the product being shipped against your location and  material-handling capabilities.

Please be aware that your location needs to be prepared to properly handle and sign for freight shipments. You need to have access to a dock location, a forklift or the ability to unload the product from the freight carrier's trailer.

If your location does not have a traditional loading dock or forklift to unload your LTL freight out of the trailer, a Lift gate service will be required. There will be an additional charge for the service. It varies by carrier and even by market with different carriers. It often depends on the supply and demand of lift gate equipped trucks in your area.

Some machines require Flatbed shipping. There will be an additional charge for this service. Flatbed shipping is for the transportation of cargo that cannot be loaded or unloaded from a dock, or does not fit within the dimensions of standard truck trailers. A flatbed’s design allows for cranes and forklifts to load goods from all angles.

If a shipment is too heavy or the footprint (i.e., panel saws, metalworking lathes, mill/drills) is too large to ship via small parcel carrier (USPS, UPS or FedEx), it is shipped via a freight carrier. Freight shipments are considered tail gate deliveries, meaning that the driver is only responsible for moving the shipment to the rear of the trailer and will not assist with unloading.

For non-commercial deliveries, the freight carrier will contact you to schedule a delivery window and confirm if lift gate services are required. If lift gate service is requested, the driver is responsible for lowering the product to the ground during delivery. Freight shipments delivered to a residential location are considered curb side deliveries, meaning the driver will make the delivery in the street at the end of the customer’s driveway. Freight Carriers are not required to enter driveways to make residential deliveries due to liability and safety issues.

Although most deliveries go smoothly, sometimes there are exceptions beyond  our control. Machines weighing over 2,000 pounds, bulky and oversized machines with a large footprint may not be able to be delivered via a lift gate for risk of injury or damage to the machine. There are also inaccessible remote, residential or high density urban areas that freight carriers cannot safely access. If encountered, such shipments are available for dock delivery or will be required to be picked up from the carrier’s terminal.
