The Simpson Strong-Tie CCQM Column Cap for GFCMU and Concrete Piers is an embedded column cap engineered for raised pier foundations and demanding structural applications where heavy beams bear on concrete or concrete masonry unit (CMU) columns. Built from heavy-gauge steel with a robust beam seat, this column cap works in conjunction with Simpson Strong-Tie SSTB anchor bolts to deliver the high uplift and lateral resistance necessary to help protect structures against high-wind events. The CCQM4.62-SDS is designed for use along a floor support beam in non-corner locations, providing a reliable and code-conscious connection between your beam and pier.

- The CCQM4.62-SDS requires 1/4" x 2-1/2" Strong-Drive SDS Heavy-Duty Connector screws installed in all round holes. Lag screws must not be substituted, as they will not achieve the same load values that the SDS screws are engineered to deliver.
- Is this column cap suitable for corner pier locations?
- No. The CCQM4.62-SDS is specifically designed for non-corner, floor support beam locations in raised pier foundations. It is not intended for corner pier applications.

Standard Shipping is free on orders over $50 within the contiguous US. If the order is under $50.00, the shipping is $9.99 set fee for shipping within the contiguous US.
