The Simpson BA7.12/9.5 is a BA Series top-flange joist hanger engineered for double 3-1/2 in. x 9-1/2 in. engineered wood and solid sawn lumber applications. As a cost-effective solution for medium to higher load demands, this hanger features a full-height joist flange that captures the top chord of the joist, preventing rotation and eliminating the need for web stiffeners. Built from 12-gauge steel with a G90 zinc galvanized coating, the BA7.12/9.5 delivers lasting corrosion resistance and structural reliability. Its min./max. nailing flexibility allows contractors and engineers to dial in the precise load capacity required for any given application.

Installation
Install with 0.162 in. x 3-1/2 in. nails in the header and 0.148 in. x 1-1/2 in. nails in the joist. Minimum nailing targets moderate load demands; maximum nailing allows higher loads. Design versatility is built in through the min./max. nailing options.

- Hangers may be modified for slopes and/or skews up to 45 deg.. The top flanges may be sloped as much as 35 deg. and may be open or closed up to 30 deg.. See Modifications and Associated Load Reductions under Specifications
