The Simpson Strong-Tie BA416 is a top-flange joist hanger engineered for dependable performance in both engineered wood and solid sawn lumber applications. Designed as part of the trusted BA hanger series, this hanger delivers medium load capacity with solid sawn lumber and higher load capacity with engineered wood products. Its one-piece, 12-gauge galvanized steel construction provides a cost-effective and robust alternative to welded hangers, while the full-height joist flange captures the top chord of the joist to prevent rotation and eliminate the need for web stiffeners. With positive-angle nailing (PAN) capability for moderate load conditions and maximum nailing options for higher loads, the BA416 offers flexible, code-compliant performance for nominal 4x16 framing members.

Install with 0.162 in. x 3-1/2 in. nails in the header and 0.148 in. x 1-1/2 in. nails in the joist.
Options
Options- Other widths are available; specify W dimension (the minimum W dimension is 1 9/16").
- For modified hangers, fastener quantity listed in tables may need to increase depending on joist size, skew and slope. All modified hangers are 12 ga.
- Hangers may be modified for slopes and/or skews up to 45 deg.. The top flanges may be sloped as much as 35 deg. and may be open or closed up to 30 deg.. See Modifications and Associated Load Reductions under Specifications

Freight shipping Policy:
Orders/Items too large or heavy may require special handling/Shipping and may require to be sent by truck. Someone must be present to accept truck deliveries. Standard truck delivery is to a dock facility designed to receive freight. You will be notified within 24 hours of ordering to confirm delivery. Lift gates for deliveries are available for an additional fee.
