Product Description
The Simpson Strong-Tie BA28-2 is a top-flange joist hanger engineered for both engineered wood and solid sawn lumber applications. Designed to carry medium loads with solid sawn lumber and higher loads with engineered wood products, this hanger offers a cost-effective one-piece construction that outperforms traditional welded alternatives. The BA series features a full-height joist flange that captures the top chord of the joist to prevent rotation and eliminates the need for web stiffeners. With support for both minimum nailing using positive-angle nailing (PAN) for moderate load conditions and maximum nailing for higher load demands, the BA28-2 delivers reliable, versatile performance for double 2x8 framing applications.
