The Simpson Strong-Tie ECCQ3-6SDS2.5HDG is a Hot-Dip Galvanized End Column Cap engineered to deliver strong, reliable column-to-beam connections in end-of-beam applications in wood construction. Designed for a 3-1/8 in. beam width and a nominal 6x post size, the ECCQ features an extended seat that provides additional bearing surface area beyond the side of the column - helping to distribute load from the beam and provide greater support at the connection point. Built from 7-gauge steel and finished with hot-dip galvanization (HDG), this column cap delivers enhanced corrosion resistance for exterior environments and treated-wood applications. Simpson Strong-Tie column caps come in a variety of sizes to accommodate any project, generally eliminating the need for additional brackets or braces. The ECCQ uses Strong-Drive SDS Heavy-Duty Connector screws for fast installation and to attach to a greater net section area of the column than a bolt attachment normally entails.

Lift gates for deliveries are available for an additional fee.
