The Simpson Strong-Tie ECCLLQ464HDG is an L-Shape End Column Cap engineered to deliver strong, reliable column-beam connections in end-of-beam applications where two beams intersect in an "L" formation on top of a column. Designed for use with a 4x main beam, 4x side beam, and 6x post, this column cap helps distribute load from the beams while providing critical structural support at the connection point. The side beam is oriented left - order the ECCLRQ model if a right-side beam orientation is required.
Unlike traditional through-bolt systems, the ECCLLQ464HDG uses Strong-Drive SDS Heavy-Duty Connector screws for faster installation and a lower profile at the connection. The cap features certified welds, high-uplift screw configuration, and diamond holes for temporary fastening during installation. Fabricated from 7-gauge steel with a hot-dip galvanized (HDG) finish, this column cap is built for exterior and treated-wood applications where superior corrosion resistance is essential.
