The Simpson Strong-Tie ECCLLQ444HDG is an L-Shape End Column Cap engineered to deliver strong, reliable column-beam connections in end-of-beam applications where two beams intersect in an "L" formation on top of a column. Designed for 4x main beam, 4x post, and 4x side beam nominal member sizes, this column cap helps distribute load from the beams and provides critical support for the connection. The side beam is oriented left - order the ECCLRQ model for a right-side beam orientation. Built from heavy 7-gauge steel with a hot-dip galvanized (HDG) finish, the ECCLLQ444HDG is built to withstand exterior environments and use with treated wood. It installs using included Strong-Drive SDS Heavy-Duty Connector screws, providing faster installation and a lower profile compared to standard through bolts - generally eliminating the need for additional brackets or braces.
