The Simpson Strong-Tie CCQ77SDS2.5 Column Cap is engineered to deliver strong, reliable column-beam connections in wood construction. The seat of the column cap provides an additional surface area of bearing that extends beyond each side of the column, helping to distribute the load from the beam and provide enhanced support for the connection. Unlike traditional bolt attachments, the CCQ uses Strong-Drive SDS Heavy-Duty Connector screws for fast installation and attachment to a greater net section area of the column. Simpson Strong-Tie column caps come in a variety of sizes to accommodate any project, generally eliminating the need for additional brackets or braces.
Designed for 6-3/4 in. beam and 6-3/4 in. post applications, this column cap is constructed from heavy-duty 3-gauge steel with a Simpson Strong-Tie gray paint finish, and is proudly made in the United States.
