The Simpson CCQ44SDS2.5ROT CCQ Rotated-Strap Column Cap for 4x Beam, 4x Post with Strong-Drive SDS Screws by Simpson Strong-Tie is engineered to deliver strong, reliable column-beam connections in wood construction. The seat of the column cap provides an additional surface area of bearing that extends beyond each side of the column, helping distribute the load from the beam and providing critical support for the connection. This model features straps rotated 90 deg. and uses Strong-Drive SDS Heavy-Duty Connector screws for fast installation, attaching to a greater net section area of the column than a standard bolt attachment normally entails.
