Simpson CCQ3-6SDS2.5 CCQ Column Cap for 3-1/8 in. Beam, 6x Post with Strong-Drive SDS Screws by Simpson Strong-Tie is engineered to provide a high-capacity column-beam connection in wood construction. The seat of the column cap extends beyond each side of the column to distribute load from the beam and provide superior bearing support. Unlike standard through-bolt connections, this cap uses Strong-Drive SDS Heavy-Duty Connector screws for faster installation and attachment to a greater net section area of the column, while maintaining a lower profile. Certified welds and increased uplift load ratings make this cap well-suited for applications subject to earthquake or wind loading.
