Simpson SUL210 SUL Galvanized Joist Hanger for 2x10, Skewed Left is a 45 deg.-skewed hanger engineered by Simpson Strong-Tie to support solid sawn and engineered wood products in wood construction. Its U-shaped design encapsulates the top flange of the joist, eliminating the need for web stiffeners during standard installation and delivering a clean, reliable connection on left-skewed framing applications.

- What is the difference between the SUL210 and the SUR210?
- The SUL and SUR hangers are identical in construction except for their skew direction. The SUL210 is skewed 45 deg. to the left, while the SUR is skewed 45 deg. to the right. Choose the model that matches the direction your joist skews relative to the header.
- What fasteners are required to install the SUL210?
- Installation requires 16d common nails in the header and 10d x 1-1/2 in. nails in the joist. Using the specified fasteners is essential for achieving the rated load capacity of the hanger.
- Can the SUL210 accommodate joists that are not cut at exactly 45 deg.?
- Yes. While the SUL210 is designed as a 45 deg.-skewed hanger, it will accommodate a joist skewed anywhere from 40 deg. to 50 deg.. The hanger cannot be field-modified, so it must be used within this range. The joist end may be square cut or bevel cut.
- Why does the SUL210 not require web stiffeners?
- The SUL210 features a U-shaped design that fully encapsulates the top flange of the joist, providing sufficient bearing and lateral support so that web stiffeners are not required for standard installation on solid sawn and engineered wood products.

Orders/Items too large or heavy may require special handling/Shipping and may require to be sent by truck. Someone must be present to accept truck deliveries. Standard truck delivery is to a dock facility designed to receive freight. You will be notified within 24 hours of ordering to confirm delivery. Lift gates for deliveries are available for an additional fee.
