Simpson SUL2.06/11 SUL Galvanized Joist Hanger for 2 in. x 11-7/8 in. Engineered Wood, Skewed Left is a 45 deg.-skewed structural connector from Simpson Strong-Tie, engineered to support solid sawn and engineered wood products in wood construction. This U-shaped hanger encapsulates the top flange of the joist, eliminating the need for web stiffeners during standard installation and delivering a strong, reliable connection for skewed joist applications.

- What fasteners are required to install the SUL2.06/11 joist hanger?
- Install with (16) 0.162 x 3-1/2 in. nails in the face and (2) 0.148 x 1-1/2 in. nails in the joist, OR (18) #9 x 1-1/2 in. Strong-Drive SD Connector screws (SD9112).
- Can the SUL2.06/11 hanger be field-modified to adjust the skew angle?
- No. These hangers cannot be modified. However, they are designed to accommodate a joist skewed anywhere from 40 deg. to 50 deg. to the left, providing a degree of flexibility within that range.
- What is the difference between the SUR and SUL hanger models?
- The SUR and SUL hangers are identical in construction except that the SUR is skewed 45 deg. to the right and the SUL is skewed 45 deg. to the left. The SUL2.06/11 is specifically the left-skewed version for 2 in. x 11-7/8 in. members.
- Why does this hanger feature obround nail holes on the acute side?
