Product Description

The Simpson TSBR 25-1/2 in. Galvanized Truss Spacer-Restraint is a lateral-restraint solution from Simpson engineered to improve efficiency, quality, and safety during roof truss installation on wood and cold-formed steel framing projects. Designed to firmly grip trusses and lock them into accurate on-center spacing without the need for measuring or adjusting, this truss spacer eliminates the time-consuming layout work associated with traditional temporary lateral bracing. Once in place, the TSBR can remain permanently during sheathing, removing the extra step of stripping out temporary bracing and giving workers a more stable, secure platform as the roof deck goes down.

Key Features

  • Grabs onto the truss and holds accurate spacing without measuring - speeds up truss installation by eliminating layout steps and repeated adjustments, reducing labor time on the job.
  • One-hand installation design - allows a single worker to place the spacer-restraint quickly and securely, keeping crews moving efficiently across the roof framing.
  • Stays in place through sheathing - no removal required before the roof deck is applied, saving time, reducing material handling, and giving workers a more stable surface to stand on during sheathing.
  • Requires less total bracing material than prescriptive wood bracing methods - cuts both material costs and the labor involved in installing and removing traditional temporary bracing.
  • Made from 22-gauge steel with a Zinc Galvanized G90 coating - the galvanized finish delivers extra corrosion resistance, helping the restraint hold up in the demanding conditions typical of framing environments.

Why This Product

  • A faster, safer alternative to traditional wood bracing - the TSBR captures on-center truss spacing and keeps trusses vertical and plumb immediately after placement, reducing the risk of truss rollover and cutting the time crews spend managing temporary lateral restraint.
  • Permanent installation eliminates a full work step - because the spacer-restraint sheathe over without removal, crews avoid the double-handling and delay that come with stripping out conventional temporary bracing before the roof deck can be applied.
  • Compatible with both wood and CFS framing - the TSBR works across a wide range of common roof framing applications, making it a practical choice for contractors who work with multiple framing systems.
  • Built and finished for long-term performance - domestic manufacturing paired with a G90 galvanized coating means this truss restraint is built to consistent quality standards and engineered to resist corrosion throughout the life of the structure.
