Product Description

Simpson SET3G22-N SET-3G High-Strength Epoxy Adhesive from Simpson Strong-Tie is an epoxy-based anchoring adhesive engineered for anchoring threaded rod and rebar into both cracked and uncracked concrete. This low-odor, two-component system mixes at a 1:1 ratio to a uniform gray color, making it easy to confirm proper mixing on the jobsite. Designed to install and perform across a wide range of environmental conditions - including dry concrete, water-saturated concrete, water-filled holes, and submerged concrete - this 22 oz. side-by-side cartridge delivers the design strength and jobsite versatility that structural anchoring applications demand. Each cartridge ships with one EMN22i mixing nozzle and one nozzle extension included.

Key Features

  • Superior bond strengths for high seismic applications - exceptional performance enables ductile solutions in high seismic areas, giving structural engineers the design flexibility they need in demanding environments.
  • ICC-ES AC308 recognition for post-installed rebar - accepted for post-installed rebar development and splice length design provisions, so specifiers can use this adhesive with confidence on code-compliance projects.
  • Improved sustained load performance at elevated temperature - enhanced design flexibility means the adhesive maintains reliable performance even when in-service conditions push toward temperature extremes.
  • Wide in-service temperature range from -40 deg. Fahrenheit (-40 deg. Celsius) to 176 deg. Fahrenheit (80 deg. Celsius) - can be specified for all base material conditions across temperature extremes, reducing the need for multiple adhesive products on a single project.
  • Approved for use with multiple vacuum-drill bit systems without further hole cleaning - speeds up installation by eliminating extra prep steps; approved systems are listed in Code Report ESR-4057.
  • Tested per ICC-ES AC308 (ESR-4057), ACI 355.4, and applicable ASTM test methods - independent third-party testing gives buyers and inspectors documented performance verification for submittal packages.
  • Suitable for downward, horizontal, and overhead installations - versatile orientation capability means one product handles the full range of anchor and rebar dowel placements on a jobsite.
  • Low-odor formula - reduces discomfort for installers working in confined or enclosed spaces, supporting a more comfortable and safer work environment.

Why This Product

  • One adhesive for virtually any concrete anchoring condition - whether the hole is dry, water-saturated, water-filled, or submerged, SET-3G is formulated to perform, eliminating the guesswork of selecting different products for different site conditions.
  • Built for seismic zones - qualified for use in structures assigned to Seismic Design Categories A through F, making this epoxy adhesive a reliable choice for projects in high seismic regions where ductile anchor performance is required by code.
  • Ready to install out of the box - each 22 oz. cartridge includes the EMN22i mixing nozzle and a nozzle extension, so installers have everything needed to get started without sourcing accessories separately.
  • Engineered and tested for code-compliant post-installed rebar work - recognition per ICC-ES AC308 for rebar development and splice length design means structural engineers and contractors can rely on this product for rebar dowel applications that require documented, approved performance.
