The Simpson DGHT Top-Flange Fire Wall Hanger is a patent-pending, load-tested connector engineered for 3 1/2 in. x 14 in. engineered wood joists in multifamily and multilevel Type III residential construction. Carrying a two-hour fire-resistant rating tested to ASTM E814, it is the first fire wall hanger designed specifically for installation with a power nailer - cutting labor time before drywall is hung and helping keep projects on schedule. Its top-flange design leaves room for two layers of 5/8 in. gypsum board to be slipped into place after framing is complete, and it has been certified for fire-rated use on both sides of the wall under Intertek Design No. SST/WPCF 120-01.
