Product Description

Simpson CILPL32 CI-LPL Long-Pot-Life Structural Injection Epoxy from Simpson Strong-Tie is a two-component, high-modulus, high-solids, moisture-tolerant epoxy engineered for pressure injection, gravity feeding, and flood coat filling of concrete cracks. Dispensed through a side-by-side 32 oz. cartridge with a static mixing nozzle, it delivers a true structural, chemically bonded repair in substrate temperatures from 60 deg. Fahrenheit (16 deg. Celsius) to 110 deg. Fahrenheit (43 deg. Celsius) - making it a dependable solution for hot-weather concrete repair where other epoxies fall short. Each cartridge includes the EMNO22 mixing nozzle and is compatible with Simpson Strong-Tie ADT30S and ADT30P dispensing tools.

Key Features

  • Meets ASTM C881 and AASHTO M235, Type I/IV, Grade 1, Class C - conforms to widely recognized structural epoxy standards, giving contractors and inspectors confidence that the repair meets accepted industry requirements.
  • Chemically bonds with concrete to provide a structural repair - CI-LPL does not simply fill a crack; it restores load-bearing capacity and seals the crack from moisture to protect embedded rebar from corrosion.
  • Moisture-tolerant formulation - can be applied to both dry and damp surfaces, so job-site conditions and residual concrete moisture do not force costly delays.
  • Low surface tension at elevated temperatures - allows the material to penetrate narrow cracks effectively even in hot conditions, ensuring thorough coverage where it matters most.
  • Formulated for maximum penetration under pressure - optimized for use with metered pressure-injection equipment, enabling complete fill of cracks from 1/64 in. to 1/4 in. (0.4 - 6 mm) in width.
  • Suitable for pressure injection or gravity-feed applications - one product covers both vertical structural-crack injection and horizontal gravity-feed scenarios, reducing the need for multiple repair materials on a job site.
  • Non-shrink, resistant to oils, salts, and mild chemicals, and freeze-thaw resistant - the cured repair holds up against the environmental stressors that commonly degrade concrete over time, extending the life of the fix.
  • Amber color - provides visual confirmation of coverage and cure progress, helping applicators verify that cracks have been properly filled before finishing.

Why This Product

  • Built for hot-weather structural repair - the extended pot life and elevated temperature rating up to 110 deg. Fahrenheit make CI-LPL specifically suited for injection work in warm climates or summer conditions where fast-setting epoxies become unworkable before the crack is fully filled.
  • A true structural fix, not just a sealer - by chemically bonding to the concrete substrate, CI-LPL restores the structural integrity of the section and protects rebar from corrosion-driven damage, addressing both the immediate crack and its long-term consequences.
  • Versatile application method - compatible with pressure injection, gravity feeding, flood coat filling, and metered pressure-injection equipment, this single cartridge adapts to a range of repair scenarios without requiring a dedicated product for each method.
  • Field-ready in challenging conditions - moisture tolerance and the ability to perform in underwater pressure-injection applications means crews can proceed with repairs on damp or wet substrates without waiting for ideal dry conditions, keeping projects on schedule.

Frequently Asked Questions

What substrate temperature range is required when using CI-LPL?
CI-LPL is designed for use when substrate temperatures are between 60 deg.F (16 deg.C) and 110 deg.F (43 deg.C), making it well suited for hot-weather concrete repair applications.
Can CI-LPL be used on wet or damp concrete surfaces?
Yes. CI-LPL is moisture-tolerant and can be applied to both dry and damp concrete surfaces, which makes it effective in a wide range of field conditions including underwater pressure-injection applications.
What dispensing tools are compatible with the CI-LPL 32 oz. cartridge?
The CI-LPL 32 oz. cartridge is compatible with the Simpson Strong-Tie ADT30S and ADT30P dispensing tools. The cartridge can be dispensed using either a manual or pneumatic dispensing tool through a static mixing nozzle.
What crack widths can CI-LPL effectively fill?
CI-LPL's low viscosity (2,000 cP) and low surface tension at elevated temperatures allow it to penetrate and repair fine to medium width cracks ranging from 1/64 - to 1/4 - (0.4 to 6 mm) in width under both pressure-injection and gravity-feed conditions.
