The Simpson Strong-Tie IDCB45.5-KT25 IDCB Drift-Clip Bypass Framing Connector is engineered to secure bypass stud framing to the edge of a slab in cold-formed steel (CFS) construction. Designed for demanding curtain-wall applications, this connector accommodates 1 in. of lateral drift in each direction as well as 1 in. of upward and downward vertical deflection, providing the structural flexibility required at slab-edge connections. Precision-manufactured from 97 mil (12 gauge), 50 ksi steel with a Zinc Galvanized G90 finish, the IDCB connector delivers reliable strength and corrosion resistance. This kit includes 25 connectors and 83 shouldered screws - everything needed for a complete stud-side installation. Tested for anchorage to a steel-edge angle using #12 x 1-1/4 in. Strong-Drive XL Large-Head Metal screws.
