Product Description
The Baileigh Sheet Metal Bender and Box and Pan Brake HB-14418 is a heavy-duty manual bending brake engineered for professional sheet metal fabrication. Built on an electro-welded steel plate construction weighing almost 4,000 lbs., this Baileigh brake delivers the rigidity needed to produce accurate, repeatable bends across a full 12-foot bending length - making it an ideal solution for HVAC shops and fabricators tackling long runs of custom ductwork and sheet metal components.
Key Features
- 12-foot (144") bending length lets you make quicker work of those long runs
- Bends 18-gauge mild steel and 22-gauge stainless steel across its full length of 12 feet
- Maximum bend angle of 135 deg.
- Bending leaf's precisely machined single blade keeps the bending radius as tight as possible
- Clamping and bending components made of cast iron, machined for tight tolerances, help keep costs and waste to a minimum
- Material stop rod ensures repeatability between bends
- 2 large counterweights help you bend at full capacity without physical strain
- Heavy-duty steel floor stand, positioned at a comfortable height, will reduce the operator's effort, and make production smoother
- Electro-welded steel plate construction, weighing almost 4,000 lbs., maintains rigidity to produce accurate bends over years of non-stop use

Frequently Asked Questions
- What is the maximum material thickness this brake can handle across its full 12-foot length?
- This brake bends 18-gauge mild steel and 22-gauge stainless steel across its full length of 12 feet, making it capable of handling demanding production runs from end to end without capacity drop-off.
- How does this brake help reduce operator fatigue during full-capacity bending?
- The machine is equipped with 2 large counterweights that help you bend at full capacity without physical strain, and the heavy-duty steel floor stand is positioned at a comfortable height to reduce the operator's effort and make production smoother.
- How is bend repeatability maintained between multiple workpieces?
- A material stop rod is included to ensure repeatability between bends, allowing operators to produce consistent results across an entire production run with minimal setup adjustments.
- What makes this brake resistant to misalignment over long-term use?
- The electro-welded steel plate construction weighing almost 4,000 lbs. maintains rigidity to produce accurate bends over years of non-stop use, while clamping and bending components made of cast iron are machined for tight tolerances to further minimize misalignment and material waste.

FREIGHT SHIPMENTS
It is important to assess the product being shipped against your location and material-handling capabilities.
Please be aware that your location needs to be prepared to properly handle and sign for freight shipments. You need to have access to a dock location, a forklift or the ability to unload the product from the freight carrier's trailer.
If your location does not have a traditional loading dock or forklift to unload your LTL freight out of the trailer, a Lift gate service will be required. There will be an additional charge for the service. It varies by carrier and even by market with different carriers. It often depends on the supply and demand of lift gate equipped trucks in your area.
Some machines require Flatbed shipping. There will be an additional charge for this service. Flatbed shipping is for the transportation of cargo that cannot be loaded or unloaded from a dock, or does not fit within the dimensions of standard truck trailers. A flatbed’s design allows for cranes and forklifts to load goods from all angles.
If a shipment is too heavy or the footprint (i.e., panel saws, metalworking lathes, mill/drills) is too large to ship via small parcel carrier (USPS, UPS or FedEx), it is shipped via a freight carrier. Freight shipments are considered tail gate deliveries, meaning that the driver is only responsible for moving the shipment to the rear of the trailer and will not assist with unloading.
For non-commercial deliveries, the freight carrier will contact you to schedule a delivery window and confirm if lift gate services are required. If lift gate service is requested, the driver is responsible for lowering the product to the ground during delivery. Freight shipments delivered to a residential location are considered curb side deliveries, meaning the driver will make the delivery in the street at the end of the customer’s driveway. Freight Carriers are not required to enter driveways to make residential deliveries due to liability and safety issues.
Although most deliveries go smoothly, sometimes there are exceptions beyond our control. Machines weighing over 2,000 pounds, bulky and oversized machines with a large footprint may not be able to be delivered via a lift gate for risk of injury or damage to the machine. There are also inaccessible remote, residential or high density urban areas that freight carriers cannot safely access. If encountered, such shipments are available for dock delivery or will be required to be picked up from the carrier’s terminal.
