Frequently Asked Questions
- How many nail holes does the TB20 have, and how many are required during installation?
- The TB20 features seven nail holes at each end, but only two fasteners per end are required for installation. This design provides maximum nailing flexibility to suit various field conditions.
- What fasteners are required to install the TB20?
- Installation requires two 10d x 1-1/2 in. fasteners per end of the bridging.
- What type of corrosion protection does the TB20 have?
- The TB20 is coated with a G90 zinc galvanized finish, which provides extra corrosion resistance for long-lasting performance in floor framing applications.
- Why must tension bridging like the TB20 be installed in cross pairs?
- Tension bridging works only in tension, not compression. Installing the TB20 in cross pairs ensures that at least one member is in tension under any direction of load, which is essential to properly brace joists and prevent rotation.
