The Simpson Strong-Tie SCS82-5/118-KT25 is a hybrid seismic bypass framing slide clip engineered to allow both slide-clip and fixed-clip applications in areas of high seismic activity. Every design element - from its heavy-duty 10-gauge (118 mil) steel construction to its precision-located ribs to its strategically placed fastener slots and holes - has been purpose-built to deliver exceptional resistance to in-plane seismic loads. Backed by real-world, full-scale cyclic testing, the SCS seismic clip delivers the highest seismic loads in the industry. Because slide-clip testing shows that attachment at the first slot is most critical to in-plane capacity, the SCS is designed to accommodate two large washer screws (included) at the first slot attached to the stud. This 25-piece kit includes the connectors and all required XLSH78B1414 #14 shouldered screws, so you have everything needed for installation right out of the box.
