The Simpson Strong-Tie DGT3.62/16 DGT Top-Flange Fire Wall Hanger is engineered for multifamily, multilevel Type III residential construction, delivering a load-tested and fire-rated solution for 3-1/2 in. x 16 in. engineered wood joists. As the first fire wall hanger designed to install with a power nailer, the DGT series saves valuable time before drywall installation, helping keep construction projects on schedule. The innovative top-flange design accommodates two layers of 5/8-in. gypsum board that slip into place after framing is complete, and the hanger has been tested according to ASTM E814 for fire-rated performance on both sides of the wall. Made in the United States from 12-gauge steel with a G90 galvanized finish, this patent-pending hanger is backed by expert service and technical support.
