The Simpson Strong-Tie DGHT Top-Flange Fire Wall Hanger is a patent-pending, load-tested fire wall hanger engineered for multifamily, multilevel Type III residential construction. Designed for 5-1/4 in. x 24 in. engineered wood members, it carries a two-hour fire rating and is the first fire wall hanger designed to install with a power nailer - saving critical time before drywall installation and helping keep construction projects on schedule. Its innovative top-flange design allows two layers of 5/8 in. gypsum board to be slipped into place after framing is complete, and it has been tested according to ASTM E814 for fire-rated use on both sides of the wall.
