The Simpson DGHT2.56/9.5 DGHT Top-Flange Fire Wall Hanger by Simpson Strong-Tie is ideal for multifamily, multilevel Type III residential construction. This patent-pending, load-tested hanger carries a two-hour fire rating and is the first fire wall hanger designed to install with a power nailer, saving time before hanging drywall and helping keep construction projects on schedule. Its innovative top-flange design provides space for two layers of 5/8-in. gypsum board to be slipped into place after framing is complete, and it has been tested according to ASTM E814 and is fire rated for use on both sides of the wall.
