The Simpson Strong-Tie DGHT2.56/11.88 DGHT Top-Flange Fire Wall Hanger by Simpson Strong-Tie is engineered for multifamily, multilevel Type III residential construction. This patent-pending, load-tested hanger carries a two-hour fire rating and is the first fire wall hanger designed to install with a power nailer - saving valuable time before drywall goes up and helping keep construction projects on schedule. The innovative top-flange design accepts 2-1/2 in. x 11-7/8 in. engineered wood members and leaves room for two layers of 5/8 in. gypsum board to be slipped into place after framing is complete. Tested to ASTM E814, the DGHT is fire rated for use on both sides of the wall.
