The Simpson Strong-Tie DGHT1.81/11.88 DGHT Top-Flange Fire Wall Hanger by Simpson Strong-Tie is engineered for multifamily, multilevel Type III residential construction. This patent-pending, load-tested hanger carries a two-hour fire rating and is the first fire wall hanger designed to install with a power nailer - saving critical time before drywall is hung and helping keep construction projects on schedule. The innovative top-flange design accommodates two layers of 5/8-in. gypsum board slipped into place after framing is complete, and has been tested according to ASTM E814 for fire-rated performance on both sides of the wall.
