Product Description
The Simpson Outdoor Accents Sage System Sunshade for 8 ft. x 8 ft. Pergola in Gray is a fade-resistant overhead shade solution built by Simpson for homeowners and DIYers who want to add comfort and UV protection to an existing or new pergola. Constructed from heavy-duty HDPE knitted fabric and designed to install flat and taut with included hardware, this sunshade transforms an open-top pergola into a functional, shaded outdoor retreat - and removes just as easily when the season ends.
Key Features
- Heavy-duty HDPE (high-density polyethylene) knitted fabric - delivers lasting durability and strength so the sunshade holds up to outdoor conditions without sagging or deteriorating over time
- Fade-resistant construction - maintains a clean, attractive gray appearance season after season, even with prolonged sun exposure
- UV protection - reduces the amount of direct sunlight passing through, helping keep the space beneath the pergola cooler and more comfortable
- Includes mounting brackets and SD10112DBB Outdoor Accents connector screws - everything needed for installation arrives in the box, so there is no need to source additional hardware separately
- Quick and easy installation with included hardware - heavy-duty straps hold the fabric tight and flat, giving you a professional-looking result without complicated tools or steps
- Easy to remove for seasonal storage - designed for simple takedown so you can protect the sunshade during colder months and extend its overall lifespan
- Sized specifically for an 8 ft. x 8 ft. pergola - engineered to fit that footprint precisely, ensuring full, even coverage rather than an ill-fitting generic panel
Why This Product
- A complete shade kit with no missing pieces - the sunshade ships with mounting brackets and connector screws already included, so DIYers can move straight from unboxing to installation without a separate trip for hardware
- Built to stay looking good outdoors - the fade-resistant, heavy-duty HDPE knitted fabric is engineered specifically for outdoor exposure, giving buyers a shade panel that resists wear and maintains its gray color rather than fading prematurely
- Designed for real UV defense - for anyone adding a pergola to a sunny patio or deck, the UV protection built into this sunshade makes the covered area noticeably more usable during peak sun hours
- Flexible enough for year-round ownership - because the sunshade is easy to remove and reinstall, buyers get a solution that adapts to the seasons rather than a permanent fixture that has to weather winter conditions or sit unused overhead
