Product Description

The Baileigh Hydraulic Sheet Metal Press Brake BP-5060NC is a precision-engineered hydraulic press brake built for fabricators who demand consistent, repeatable bends across a full production run. Three selectable operating modes - jog, manual, and automatic - give operators complete control from initial setup through full-speed production, while dual encoder-controlled hydraulic cylinders and digital readouts keep every bend dialed in with exacting accuracy.

Key Features

  • Runs in 3 modes: jog mode for setup, manual mode for more control over descent and return, and automatic mode for full production
  • 2 encoder-controlled hydraulic cylinders move the top beam for synchronized, accurate strokes
  • Digital readout (DRO) displays the position of the downward stroke, so you can fine-tune a bend and make it right every time
  • It takes just a few seconds to change the top beam pressure and the top position of the stroke (for more or less travel)
  • You can set a timer for bend delay to hold the beam down at the bottom of the stroke, so the bend keeps its shape
  • 2 hand wheels let you adjust the position of the beam and back gauge for consistency across the entire width of the beam
  • Foot pedal brings the stroke up and down, leaving your hands free to position the material
  • Motorized back gauge rides on a solid ball screw trolley mechanism for reliable, repeatable positioning
  • Back gauge encoder shows its position on its own dedicated DRO
  • Parallel mechanism on the beam synchronizes the top and bottom die to deliver better quality bends across the entire width of the machine

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the three operating modes on the BP-5060NC and when should each be used?
The BP-5060NC runs in jog mode for initial setup and testing positions, manual mode when you want more direct control over the descent and return of the beam, and automatic mode when you are running full production and need the machine to cycle efficiently without interruption.
How does the back gauge positioning system work on this press brake?
The motorized back gauge rides on a solid ball screw trolley mechanism, which provides precise and repeatable movement. Its position is tracked by a dedicated encoder and displayed on its own digital readout (DRO), so you always know exactly where the back gauge is set.
What is the bend delay timer and why is it useful?
The bend delay timer allows you to set a hold time that keeps the top beam pressed down at the bottom of the stroke for a defined period. This dwell time at the bottom allows the material to fully conform to the die angle, helping the bend retain its shape and reducing springback in the finished part.
How do the encoder-controlled hydraulic cylinders improve bend quality?
The two encoder-controlled hydraulic cylinders work in tandem with the parallel mechanism on the beam to synchronize the top and bottom die throughout the stroke. This synchronization ensures that pressure and positioning are consistent across the entire width of the machine, delivering better quality bends whether you are working at the center or the edges of the tooling.

FREIGHT SHIPMENTS

It is important to assess the product being shipped against your location and  material-handling capabilities.

Please be aware that your location needs to be prepared to properly handle and sign for freight shipments. You need to have access to a dock location, a forklift or the ability to unload the product from the freight carrier's trailer.

If your location does not have a traditional loading dock or forklift to unload your LTL freight out of the trailer, a Lift gate service will be required. There will be an additional charge for the service. It varies by carrier and even by market with different carriers. It often depends on the supply and demand of lift gate equipped trucks in your area.

Some machines require Flatbed shipping. There will be an additional charge for this service. Flatbed shipping is for the transportation of cargo that cannot be loaded or unloaded from a dock, or does not fit within the dimensions of standard truck trailers. A flatbed’s design allows for cranes and forklifts to load goods from all angles.

If a shipment is too heavy or the footprint (i.e., panel saws, metalworking lathes, mill/drills) is too large to ship via small parcel carrier (USPS, UPS or FedEx), it is shipped via a freight carrier. Freight shipments are considered tail gate deliveries, meaning that the driver is only responsible for moving the shipment to the rear of the trailer and will not assist with unloading.

For non-commercial deliveries, the freight carrier will contact you to schedule a delivery window and confirm if lift gate services are required. If lift gate service is requested, the driver is responsible for lowering the product to the ground during delivery. Freight shipments delivered to a residential location are considered curb side deliveries, meaning the driver will make the delivery in the street at the end of the customer’s driveway. Freight Carriers are not required to enter driveways to make residential deliveries due to liability and safety issues.

Although most deliveries go smoothly, sometimes there are exceptions beyond  our control. Machines weighing over 2,000 pounds, bulky and oversized machines with a large footprint may not be able to be delivered via a lift gate for risk of injury or damage to the machine. There are also inaccessible remote, residential or high density urban areas that freight carriers cannot safely access. If encountered, such shipments are available for dock delivery or will be required to be picked up from the carrier’s terminal.
