The Simpson Strong-Tie SUR26 SUR Galvanized Joist Hanger for 2x6, Skewed Right is a 45 deg.-skewed hanger engineered by Simpson Strong-Tie to support solid sawn and engineered wood products in wood construction. This U-shaped hanger encapsulates the top flange of the joist, eliminating the need for web stiffeners during standard installation and delivering a strong, reliable connection for skewed framing applications.

- What is the difference between the SUR and SUL hangers?
- The SUR and SUL hangers are identical in design except that the SUR is skewed 45 deg. to the right and the SUL is skewed 45 deg. to the left. Choose the SUR26 when your joist frames into a header or beam at a right-skewed angle.
- Can the SUR26 be field-modified to adjust the skew angle?
- No. These hangers cannot be modified. However, the SUR26 is designed to accommodate a joist skewed anywhere between 40 deg. and 50 deg., providing a degree of flexibility within that range without any alteration to the hanger.
- Does the SUR26 require web stiffeners for standard installation?
- No. Because the U-shaped design encapsulates the top flange of the joist, no web stiffeners are required for standard installation, simplifying the installation process.
- What fasteners are required to install the SUR26?
- Install with (6) 0.162 x 3-1/2-in. nails in the face and (6) 0.148 x 1-1/2-in. nails in the joist, OR (12) #9 x 1-1/2-in. Strong-Drive SD Connector screws (SD9112).

Freight shipping Policy:
Orders/Items too large or heavy may require special handling/Shipping and may require to be sent by truck. Someone must be present to accept truck deliveries. Standard truck delivery is to a dock facility designed to receive freight. You will be notified within 24 hours of ordering to confirm delivery. Lift gates for deliveries are available for an additional fee.
