Simpson SUL2.06/9 SUL Galvanized Joist Hanger for 2 in. x 9-1/2 in. Engineered Wood, Skewed Left is a 45 deg.-skewed structural connector from Simpson Strong-Tie engineered to support solid sawn and engineered wood products in wood construction. This U-shaped hanger encapsulates the top flange of the joist, eliminating the need for web stiffeners in standard installation and delivering a strong, reliable connection for skewed framing applications.

- What is the difference between the SUR and SUL hangers?
- The SUR and SUL hangers are identical in design except that the SUR is skewed 45 deg. to the right and the SUL is skewed 45 deg. to the left. The SUL2.06/9 is the left-skewed version intended for left-hand framing connections.
- Can the SUL2.06/9 hanger be field-modified to adjust the skew angle?
- No. These hangers cannot be modified. However, they will accommodate a joist skewed anywhere from 40 deg. to 50 deg., providing a degree of flexibility within that range without any alteration to the hanger.
- Are web stiffeners required when installing the SUL2.06/9?
- No. The U-shaped design encapsulates the top flange of the joist, so no web stiffeners are required for standard installation.
- What fasteners are required to install the SUL2.06/9?
- Install with (14) 0.162 x 3-1/2 in. nails in the face and (2) 0.148 x 1-1/2 in. nails in the joist, OR (16) #9 x 1-1/2 in. Strong-Drive SD Connector screws (SD9112).

Orders/Items too large or heavy may require special handling/Shipping and may require to be sent by truck. Someone must be present to accept truck deliveries. Standard truck delivery is to a dock facility designed to receive freight. You will be notified within 24 hours of ordering to confirm delivery. Lift gates for deliveries are available for an additional fee.
