Product Description
The Simpson META18/TSS2 14" Truss Anchor with 4" Embed and Seat is an engineered truss-to-wall connector from Simpson designed to securely attach roof trusses to concrete and masonry walls. Built to resist uplift forces caused by wind and seismic events, this medium embedded truss anchor features a 14-inch height, a 4-inch embed depth, and arrives with a TSS2 truss seat snap-in included, giving contractors a complete connection solution in a single package.
Key Features
- Indented embedment line - guides accurate embed depth during installation, reducing guesswork and helping ensure code-compliant placement every time.
- Staggered nail patterns - distribute load across the connector to strengthen uplift resistance, which is critical in high-wind and seismic zones.
- Usable in pairs on single- and multi-ply trusses - provides installation flexibility across a wide range of roof truss configurations without requiring a different product.
- Installable straight or field-bent around truss or rafter members - lets crews adapt the anchor on site to suit actual framing conditions without special tools or parts.
- Compatible with Simpson TSS and TBP8 moisture barrier plates - allows the connection point to be protected from moisture intrusion when used alongside these plates, extending the life of the assembly.
- Zinc galvanized G90 coating - delivers corrosion resistance suited to exterior and above-grade concrete and masonry applications, helping maintain connection integrity over time.
- Rated for wind and seismic forces - provides builders and engineers with confidence that the connection meets load requirements for demanding structural conditions.
Why This Product
- A complete anchor-and-seat system in one - the included TSS2 snap-in truss seat means the structural connection between the truss and wall is handled by a single coordinated assembly, reducing the need to source separate components.
- Engineered for demanding load conditions - designed specifically to resist wind and seismic uplift forces at the roof-to-wall connection, making it a reliable choice for projects in high-load regions.
- Built-in installation accuracy - the indented embedment line takes the uncertainty out of setting embed depth, helping crews work faster and with fewer errors during concrete or masonry pours.
- Versatile enough for a wide range of framing scenarios - the ability to use the anchor straight or field-bent, combined with compatibility for both single- and multi-ply truss configurations, means one product can address multiple conditions on the same job site.
