Product Description
The Simpson Hidden Timber Connector Kit with Screws (ETB160A-SCRB) delivers a clean, professional beam connection without any visible hardware - preserving the natural aesthetic of exposed timber framing while maintaining a fully load-tested structural connection. Interlocking plates are fastened onto each member and lock together to form a secure, concealed joint ideal for architectural timber applications where appearance and structural integrity are equally important.
Key Features
- Completely Hidden Hardware: Interlocking plate system conceals all fasteners once installed, leaving no visible connector hardware on the finished assembly.
- Load-Tested Beam Connection: Engineered for reliable structural performance with a fully tested interlocking plate design.
- Interlocking Plate System: Upper and lower plates fasten independently to each member, then lock together for a secure and stable connection.
- SCRB Screws Included: Kit ships complete with SCRB structural screws for the horseshoe plate installation - no additional fastener purchase required for that component.
- Angled Screw Installation: SCRB screws are installed at a downward angle (approximately 45 deg.) for optimized load transfer and pull-through resistance.
- Routed Pocket Design: Lower plate seats into a 3/8" (10 mm) deep routed pocket in the side of the supporting beam for a flush, concealed fit.
