Product Description
The Simpson AnchorMate 5/8" Bolt Holder is a reusable nylon anchor bolt positioning tool engineered to hold 5/8" anchor bolts securely in place before a concrete pour. Color-coded in blue for instant size identification at the jobsite, this composite polymer holder simplifies formwork setup by eliminating the need to measure bolt placement manually. Its built-in stops for 2x4 and 2x6 form boards make it a reliable choice for framers, concrete contractors, and builders who need consistent, accurate anchor bolt positioning every time.
Key Features
- Reusable design - saves material costs and reduces waste on repeat pours, making it a practical long-term addition to any concrete forming kit
- Thread-gripping section holds the 5/8" bolt without a nut - speeds up both setup and teardown, reducing labor time on the formboard
- Built-in 2x4 and 2x6 stops - eliminates manual measuring, ensuring consistent bolt height and location across every pour without extra layout work
- Blue color-coded composite polymer body - allows crews to instantly identify the 5/8" size at a glance, reducing errors when multiple bolt sizes are in use on the same job
- Protects bolt threads from wet concrete - keeps threads clean and ready for use immediately after stripping forms, eliminating the need for thread cleanup
- Simplifies trowel finishing - the low-profile holder design keeps the work surface accessible, making concrete finishing faster and smoother
- Made in the United States from composite polymer - delivers durable, job-ready performance in the demanding conditions of concrete formwork
Why This Product
- Eliminates a common source of error on the slab - the built-in 2x4 and 2x6 stops mean bolt positioning is repeatable and accurate without a tape measure, reducing rework after the pour
- Speeds up formwork prep and strip - because the gripping section holds the bolt without a nut, crews spend less time threading and unthreading hardware during both setup and teardown
- Keeps anchor bolts protected where it counts - the holder shields threads from splashing and wet concrete, so bolts arrive at the framing stage clean and undamaged
- Color-coded identification cuts confusion on busy sites - the distinctive blue finish makes the 5/8" holder immediately distinguishable from other sizes, supporting organized and efficient workflow

Frequently Asked Questions
- What size anchor bolt does this holder accommodate?
- This AnchorMate bolt holder is designed specifically for 5/8" diameter anchor bolts. The blue color coding makes it easy to distinguish from holders sized for other bolt diameters when multiple sizes are present on the same jobsite.
- Which form board sizes does the AnchorMate work with?
- The holder includes built-in stops for both 2x4 and 2x6 form boards, so it can be used with either board size without any additional measuring or adjustment. This feature ensures consistent bolt height and placement across your entire slab perimeter.
- Does the bolt holder need to be removed after the concrete sets?
- Yes - the AnchorMate is designed to be removed after the concrete pour and is fully reusable. Because the gripping section holds the bolt without a nut, removal during form stripping is quick and straightforward, and the holder can be cleaned and reused on future pours.
- Does this holder protect the anchor bolt threads during the pour?
- Yes. The composite polymer construction shields the bolt threads from wet concrete and splashing during the pour, so threads remain clean and undamaged. This means anchor bolts are ready for nut and washer installation as soon as forms are stripped, with no thread cleanup required.
