The Simpson Strong-Tie MIT3511.88-2 MIT Galvanized Top-Flange Joist Hanger for Double 2-5/16 in. x 11-7/8 in. Engineered Wood is an engineered metal connector from Simpson Strong-Tie designed to support 90 deg. connections of I-joists to headers. Built from 16-gauge steel with a G90 zinc galvanized finish, this top-flange hanger delivers maximum down loads while requiring a minimum number of fasteners. Its Funnel Flange design simplifies member placement, and its positive-angle nailing (PAN) feature is specifically engineered for I-joists to minimize flange splitting - making it a reliable, cost-effective alternative to welded hangers.
