The Simpson Strong-Tie SS2.5 SS 16-Gauge Galvanized Stud Shoe for 3x Stud is engineered by Simpson Strong-Tie to reinforce notched or drilled vertical studs in residential and commercial construction. Sized for nominal 3x studs, this stud shoe strengthens wall studs that have had large holes drilled through them - typically to accommodate a plumbing waste line - and installs directly over the outside diameter of the pipe. Built from 16-gauge steel with a G90 zinc galvanized finish, the SS2.5 is suitable for use as part of a total member replacement in structural applications.
