Simpson HSS2-SDS1.5 HSS Galvanized Stud Shoe for 2x, with Strong-Drive SDS Screws is a Simpson Strong-Tie engineered connector designed to reinforce notched or drilled vertical studs in construction. Commonly used when a wall stud has been notched or has a large hole drilled through it - typically to accommodate a plumbing waste line - this stud shoe installs over the outside of the pipe and provides critical structural resistance in both tension and compression. Built from 16-gauge steel with a G90 zinc galvanized finish, it delivers durability, corrosion resistance, and the performance standards that engineers and contractors rely on.
